Both days started slow, lots of small fish. The afternoons were more productive and the fish got bigger. Sharks on cut bait, Cobia on a live blue runner and the King Mackerel took a silver spoon. Shrimp picked up a few Snapper and Triggers but the blue runners made it almost impossible to get a bait to the bottom.

noreply@blogger.com (Capt. The Jenson party had there hands full when the sharks hit.

The largest one, five feet, almost jumped in the boat when he took the live blue runner flat lined off the stern. Gene did a great job fighting the fish to the boat. The shark was still green and I missed the mark with the gaff. We had planed to release him but with the bad gaff job he wasn't going to make it, so he went in the cooler. It was great grilled.

Bottom fishing was mostly small Snapper, Grunts and under size Grouper. They did get one large Trigger and several keeper Snapper. Cut bait worked as well as shrimp and small bait fish.

noreply@blogger.com (Capt. Little Ronnie, 11 years old, did battle for an hour and forty five minuets before he got a 6 footer along side the boat for the release. Next it was Ron's turn. He was able to beat an identical shark in about an hour. Broke the rod in the fight but was still able to get the fish to the boat.

noreply@blogger.com (Capt.
