6.28.06 High Hopes Charters Fish Report Capt. Lindy Yow

John Colby and his boys fished the Near Shore Reefs for 8 hours and boxed 25 Spanish Mackerel. They also caught and released a couple of 4 foot Lemon Sharks, an 8 foot Nurse shark and two Goliath Grouper.

John Colby and party fished the backwaters of Hickory Bay for 4 hours and caught 31 Mangrove Snapper, releasing 22. They also boxed 3 Sheephead to 16 inches, and released two short Snook, three Crevalle Jacks and a Red Fish.

The Lasak Family fished the reefs on a half day trip and picked up four nice Mangrove Snapper and a dozen Spanish Mackerel. They released one Goliath Grouper and Several Crevalle Jacks.

Steve Elvard and sons fished the Reefs on Wednesday. They released two Goliath Grouper about 40 pounds each, 9 under size Gag Grouper, 2 King Mackerel and a Snook. They were using live bait about 5 miles out of Wiggins Pass

Bob McMorrow, Son Ron and Grandson Ronnie fished the back waters on a windy day and still managed to catch their limit of 15 Mangrove Snapper. They also caught and released two Snook and a Crevalle Jack. All on live shrimp with 10 lb spinning rods.

Art Johnson and friends fished the backwater and picked up a varity of fish. 4 Sheephead, 2 Pompano, 3 Jack Crevalle Released, 5 Gray Snapper, 3 Red Fish Released, 2 Snook Released.

Tim Clemmons and friends, down from Minn. for the Daytona 500, Made a trip to Bonita to go fishing. It was a good day with 4 Grouper Released, 2 Mangrove Snapper Released, 9 Sheepshead.
